Why EasyFileKit is Free Forever

Every "free" tool site makes the same promise. Most break it the moment you need something useful. Here's why EasyFileKit is different — and why it'll stay free.

The short answer

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. There are no servers processing your files, no cloud storage to maintain, no bandwidth bills to pay. When there's no backend infrastructure, there's no cost to pass on to you.

No servers = no bills

Traditional tool sites upload your files to a server, process them, and send them back. That costs money — server hosting, bandwidth, storage. They cover those costs with ads, subscriptions, or by selling your data. EasyFileKit processes everything on your device using JavaScript, WebAssembly, and the Canvas API. There is no upload endpoint. There is nothing to host. The cost of running this site is roughly the same as running a blog.

No accounts = no upsell funnel

Most "free" tools require an email sign-up. That's not generosity — it's a lead generation funnel. Once they have your email, you'll get upgrade prompts, feature gates, and "premium only" locks on basic functionality. EasyFileKit has no accounts, no sign-ups, no email walls. Open the tool, use it, close the tab. We have no way to contact you, and that's by design.

No limits = no artificial scarcity

"Free tier: 3 conversions per day." "Free plan: 500 words." These limits don't exist because the tool is expensive to run — they exist to push you toward a paid plan. Since EasyFileKit runs on your device, there's nothing to meter. You can convert 10 PDFs or 10,000 PDFs. The cost to us is identical: zero.

But why does the QR section say "never expires"?

Because most QR code generators create dynamic codes — codes that route through their server first, then redirect to your URL. If the company shuts down, your QR code dies with it. This happens more often than you'd think.

EasyFileKit generates static QR codes — the URL is encoded directly into the image. There's no server in the middle. Print it on a business card today, and it'll still scan correctly in 20 years. That's not marketing — it's math. The code contains the data itself.

How we keep the lights on

We display ads via Google AdSense. That's it. We don't sell data, we don't sell premium tiers, and we don't gate features behind subscriptions. If the ads ever stop covering costs, we'll find another non-intrusive approach — but we'll never charge you for the tools.

Our promise

The tools will always be free. Your files will always stay on your device. If that ever changes, we'll shut the site down before we charge for something that should be free.
