How is the weighted grade computed?

Each row contributes (score / max) × weight. The class grade is the sum of all weighted contributions, divided by the total weight used.

How are letter grades assigned?

Standard US scale: A+ ≥ 97, A ≥ 93, A- ≥ 90, B+ ≥ 87, B ≥ 83, B- ≥ 80, C+ ≥ 77, C ≥ 73, C- ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, F otherwise.

GPA uses the 4.0 scale: A+ = 4.0, A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D = 1.0, F = 0.0.

The calculator normalizes by the total weight you entered, so partial gradebooks still produce a sensible running grade.
