What exactly does Minify remove?

All /* ... */ comments, runs of whitespace collapsed to a single space, spaces around { } : ; , , and trailing semicolons before }.

Will minification break my CSS?

No. The tool only removes characters that are syntactically insignificant in CSS. Selectors, declarations, at-rules and string values are preserved.

What does Beautify do?

It first minifies, then re-indents: each rule on its own line, declarations indented by 2 spaces, nested rules indented further. Great for cleaning up messy stylesheets.

Is there a size limit?

Only your browser's memory. For multi-megabyte CSS, expect a brief pause.
